The Stelvio Pass, between the Italian regions of Trentino Alto Adige and Lombardy, is one of the last summer ski resorts in the Alps. National ski teams from all over Europe regularly train here in the summer months to prepare for the new season.
This year snow production for preparation of the slopes has been supplied by Demaclenko's Snow4Ever. The machine has been producing approximately 300m3 of snow a week despite daytime temperatures of 14°C.
The Snow4Ever technology creates real snowflakes without chemical additives due to crystal formation. A centrally controlled remote control means that the fully automatic technology can also be integrated into existing snowmaking systems.
