Scott Brandi, President of SANY, said: "NYSERDA has been very responsive to our request for assistance and the resulting programme will offer support to NYS resorts in upgrading and expanding our snowmaking capacity and abilities. We are very grateful to Governor Cuomo [Andrew Cuomo, Governor of New York], the State Legislature and NYSERDA for their support. With a maximum of US$300 000 in funding allowed per resort we have insured the US$5 million will be equitably dispersed to all our ski areas, both large and small.”
