Pats Peak resort in New Hampshire, US, has announced a number of capital improvements to be made in advance of the 2018 – 2019 season.

A new snowmaking compressor has been added, which will boost the air plant by 20% and enable a greater number of snow guns to operate at warmer temperatures. In addition, the resort has added four fan guns, manufactured by SMI Snowmakers, and 20 towers for snowmaking.

Finally, a powerline upgrade will convert water faster and more efficiently, delivering power to the snow guns more effectively.

Kris Blomback, General Manager, commented: “We have added an enormous amount of snowmaking capacity over the past years and this year will make our snowmaking system even better with new snow guns and an upgraded power line will allow us to operate more at any given time.”
