Grand Targhee Resort submits expansion master plan to US Forest Service

As reported by The Billings Gazette, Grand Targhee Resort in northwest Wyoming, US, has submitted proposals for an expansion to the US Forest Service.

As well as an increase in skiable acreage of 50%, the resort’s master plan also includes new chairlifts, improvements to snowmaking infrastructure and a zip line.

According to Geordie Gillett, Owner and General Manager, the summer of 2021 has been earmarked as when expansion work could begin, should the proposal be accepted under the National Environmental Protection Act and pass an environmental assessment.
