The Lowell Thomas chairlift, which replaces a fixed-grip triple chairlift, is scheduled to be inaugurated on the resort’s opening day (22 November) and will increase capacity by 600 people per hour.
The chairlift is one component of $17 million worth of investments announced by Alterra Mountain Company, the resort’s owner, in May this year. 31 high-effiency snowguns and two Prinoth snow groomers have also been purchased.
