The MND Group has secured a contract from the Bluewish Holding hotel group to develop a new outdoor recreational centre in the Zhangjiakou region of China.

The four-seasons centre will open in the summer of 2019 and feature several ski slopes, a Fun Coaster luge designed by MND’s subsidiary Techfun, two lifts supplied by subsidiary LST and an automated snowmaking system from subsidiary Sufag.

Zhang Wenrui, President of Bluewish Holding, and Xavier Gallot-Lavallée, President and CEO of MND, signed the contract in the presence of local authorities. The contract amounts to €7.5 million, and includes a strategic cooperation agreement for other upcoming projects of the Bluewish Holding Group.

Wenrui said: "MND has great expertise in the outdoor and skiing. They already have many references in China, where they are present with their subsidiary in Zhangjiakou. Our ambition is to create a site that is different from the current tourism offer and open all year long. The innovative solutions of the MND Group, its global offer as well as its location and its local teams have particularly appealed to us to carry out this new project."

Gallot-Lavallée said: "This new contract confirms the relevance of the group's global offer and our choice of location in China. We are very proud to accompany Bluewish Holding in its project not only geared towards skiing and winter but also to summer leisure activities, where our subsidiary Techfun is distinguished by its latest innovations and its ability to support customers in a global way."
