The resort of Afriski in the Kingdom of Lesotho is one of only two resorts that exist in southern Africa.
The resort’s summit is approximately 3222 m above sea level, and skiers enjoy a slope of about 1 km.
However, unreliable snowfall in the winter means that snowguns have to be used to keep the resort operating.
