Imperium Blue, the new owners of Tamarack Resort in Idaho, US, have announced the resumption of long-stalled development work.

Construction work on a base village stopped abruptly in 2009 but is set to resume this year. A new high-speed detachable Doppelmayr quad lift is due to be installed in the summer, replacing the Wildwood Express lift which last ran in 2009 and was removed three years later. The resort, which opened in 2004, is also bolstering its grooming fleet by adding two vehicles – one of which will be equipped with a winch that will allow grooming of the summit cornice and other steep terrain.

Other projects include completing the development of the base village this spring, and regenerating Tamarack’s Wildwood trail system.
