Wiegand opens second mountain coaster in Andorra

Wiegand GmbH has announced that it has completed construction of a mountain coaster at the Grandvalira ski area in Andorra.

The ride, which is 555 m long, features a roundabout and two bridges. Installation work began in the autumn of last year, and testing was completed by in mid-January. The coaster will officially open on 16 February.

The Grandvalira system is Wiegand’s second in Andorra, following the opening of the world’s longest mountain coaster (3500 m) at the Naturlandia leisure park in 2007.
