As reported by BizWest, Human Design LLC, a company based in Boulder, Colorado, US, has installed a smart ski lift system at Winter Park, with the intention of replicating it at resorts across the state in the near future.
The system provides skiers using a ski lift with real-time resort data – including information on lift operations, resort and terrain maps and metrological conditions – either via a portable interface on the lift or an individual smartphone.
With a portable interface and usable on any screen or mobile phone, the company has said that the system can be retro-fitted to any ski lift.
